To configure the backup, begin by opening the Attendance Portal using System User credentials. Navigate to the Settings icon and click on 'Scheduler':



On the Scheduler page, locate the 'Automated Task' section, where the backup scheduler named 'Data Backup (DB & Folders)' is displayed. This task provides four configuration options:


• Task Settings: Configure backup-related settings such as the backup path, the number of backup files, etc.
• Create Schedule: Set up the automated scheduler for backup.
• Run Now: Manually execute the backup task.
• Show Logs: View the task logs.

1. Task Settings Configuration: Click on 'Task Settings' to specify the following:


Auto Backup Folder Location: Choose the location where you want to save the backup.
Prefix for File Name: Specify a prefix for the backup file name.
Create Backup for Database: Choose 'Yes' to include a backup of the database.
DB Backup File Name: Specify a file name for the database backup file. The default is 'TimelabsPro_[CurrentDate].ctbak.'
Create Backup for Files and Folders: Choose 'Yes' to include a backup of files uploaded to the Timelabs portal (e.g., leave documents, employee documents, photos, etc.).
File/Folder Backup File Name Format: Specify a file name for the Data folder. The default is pre-configured.
Backup Files to Keep: Select either 'Only Current Backup' (keeps a single latest backup file) or 'Multiple Backup Files' (allows the user to keep multiple backup files).
Specify No. of Last Backup Files: If 'Multiple Backup Files' is selected, specify the maximum number of backup files to retain (e.g., 3).

Once the Task Settings are configured, save the changes.

2. Create Schedule: Proceed to 'Create Schedule' to set the following:


Start Date/Time: Specify the date and time to start the scheduled backup.
Recurrence Type: Choose from 'One Time,' 'Daily,' 'Weekly,' or 'Monthly.'
Recurrence Daily Type: For daily backups, set the recurrence type as 'Daily Hours' or 'Daily Time.' In 'Daily Hours,' the task will be auto-executed after the specified 'Recurrence Daily Hours.' In 'Daily Time,' multiple task triggers can be configured.


Keep other settings as default, enable the task, and save the changes.


3. Run Backup : Click on ‘Run Now’ to manually execute the task scheduled. User will be presented with below confirmation message upon successful execution.


4. Show Logs: Scheduler logs can be viewed here. It will be presented like below:
